The job of content strategy in SEO is to make a site the source for a topic — not a vendor of products related to it. Topical authority comes from comprehensive coverage of a topic’s semantic surface: hubs, spokes, predicates, supporting questions, comparative angles, and transactional pages. A site that covers two-thirds of the territory loses to a site that covers all of it.
